Lindsey W. Sherd, Ph.D

Psychological Testing, Eating Disorders, and Trauma Expert

"We don't see things as they are - we see things as we are" -RO DBT

Approach to Therapy

I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and value my client's life experiences and the knowledge that they bring into the therapeutic relationship. I tend to work interpersonally and view the therapeutic relationship as a tool for gaining insight into personal struggles, as well as a venue to practice new behaviors and boundaries.

Focus Areas and Treatment Provided

I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences and while I am trained to assist with a variety of concerns, I have particular interests in working with depression, women's issues, trauma, eating disorders, and 2S-LGBTQIA+ concerns. I am trained to provide a variety of psychological testing, including adult ADHD and personality assessments. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and  certified in Intuitive Eating. I am also working toward a certification in Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO DBT).

Experience the Value of an Authentic Connection!

The therapeutic process can feel overwhelming and ambiguous. You are the expert on your life and experience and I come with a toolbox of skills and interventions and hope to work collaboratively to meet your goals of living your most authentic self. I hope to create a safe space where you can bring the good, the bad and the ugly to gain a better understanding of what is and what is not working in your life. Let's connect so you can become the person you want and can be!
